Area of Responsibility

Several teams shall be strengthened within the fields of electrolysis, cell design, mathematical modelling, process control, anode production and materials technology:

  • Planning and execution of research, innovation and development projects
  • Contribute to development, optimization and implementation of new technical solutions into Primary Metal’s smelters in Norway and internationally
  • Take part in delivering technology to Hydro’s future investment projects
  • Collaboration with suppliers, universities and external research organizations

Qualifications

We are looking for persons with

  • PhD or Master degree within relevant areas such as: Light Metal Production, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Process Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Cybernetics, Materials Science, Physics
  • Analytical mindset with good academic results and practical skills
  • Result oriented with strong problem solving skills. Ability to define and achieve targets
  • Good communication, cooperation and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English, any additional language is an asset
