Senior Structural Engineers

Work Tasks and areas of responsibility:

The main function for the Structural Department is engineering of our EPCI structures, such as PLET’s, PLEM’s, Pig Launchers & Receivers, GRP Covers, Spools and installation structures. The team needs to be strengthened in order to serve all our projects and tender work. As a structural engineer you will follow the products through tender, concept design, detail design, sea-fastening and installation.

The candidates we are searching will be expected to perform:

• Global and local calculations of subsea structures
• Code check of steel structures (EC3 in STAAD)
• Code check of GRP Covers
• Hand calculations of welds, bolts etc.
• Design Reports and Sea-fastening Reports
• Procedures for MC/FAT and Installation
• Tender Work; RFQ, subcontractor evaluation
• Inspection & test plan, fabrication follow-up
• Package engineering

Tools to be applied for the above:  ABAQUS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM GeniE

Education, Experience and Personal Qualities:
 
Our team consists of employees with a varied background. For this particular role the following will be empasized:

• MSc
• More than 5 years within Structural Engineering
• Worked with global and local calculations of Subsea Structures
• Worked with seafastening of structures and equipment
• Knowledge about Subsea structures and systems
• Ability to lead smaller engineering teams
• Set an engineering plan and deliver in accordance with this
• Good knowledge about Standards used for Subsea Engineering
