A creative candidate is required for one exciting PhD research fellowship opening available at Gjøvik University College (GUC) department of technology, economics and leadership. The position is within Propagation Channel Modeling for Wireless Body Area Network. The successful candidate is expected to have good knowledge on wireless communications with strong interest in propagation channel modeling.
Qualifications
- Strong Master Degree (MSc) in digital communication, signal processing, telecommunication or related areas.
- An average grade of A or B within a scale of A E for passing grades (A best) for the MSc and C or better for the Bachelor degree (BSc) is required to participate in the PhD program. Candidates from universities outside Norway are kindly requested to send a Diploma Supplement or a similar document, which describes in detail the study and grade system and the rights for further studies associated with the obtained degree.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of Matlab programming language
The goal of the announced positions is to obtain a PhD degree. The successful applicant must participate in organized doctoral study programs within the period of the employment. Applicant must thus submit a plan for a research project within 3 months of employment in collaboration with the supervisor. The PhD research fellowship position will be awarded on a competitive basis. Emphasis will be put on research abilities and personal qualities. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
Job duration and location
The temporary position as PhD candidate will be for a period of 3 years. Office location will be in Gjøvik.
