Senior Planner

Work Tasks and areas of responsibility:

The position will be part of Tender and/or Project teams, and is responsible for preparation of project plans and progress monitoring, including status reporting and forecasting. The Senior Planner will proactively identify and highlight any progress issues which threatens successful delivery of the project, so that corrective action may be taken. The position will also be responsible for cost control on tenders and projects in Stavanger.

Main responsibilities and tasks in prioritised order:

• Develop and maintain high quality schedules that clearly visualize the critical path
• Set up the baseline plan for assigned projects and monitor progress against this plan, so that any issues are recognised promptly
• Establish and maintain plans on all forms and all levels necessary, according to Project and Basis organisation requirements
• Collect progress information for all plans and reports as required
• Monitor engineering, procurement and construction activities, highlight and comment irregularities and propose corrective actions
• Cost control and forecasting
• Assist in establishing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structure
• Establish and maintain budgets
• Cash flow management and reporting
• Assist in internal Project Monthly Report
• Support role in Client Monthly Report
• Knowledge of chosen finance strategy for the project
• Cost administration and management of changes in project

Education and Experience:

• Technical/commercial education on university level, or minimum 5 years of relevant experience from project planning and project control, preferably from marine operations or the oil & gas industry in general
• Relevant user experience with MS Project and Primavera/P6
