We are seeking an intelligent and passionate Software Engineer who is drawn to graphic development to join our international and highly motivated R&D team in Oslo. Our developers are some of the best in the world, and you will be joining them to create the Qt development framework.

In your daily work environment you will be surrounded by a team of worldwide experts, and you will have the opportunity to both broaden and deepen your knowledge about all aspects of software development. At Diga, Qt you will become a master at software engineering, and you will be expected to apply your passion and skills to a wide range of software technologies.

As a Software Engineer in Qt R&D your specific tasks will include:

• Designing and reviewing of new APIs and framework features
• Implement functionality on multiple platforms, both desktop, embedded and mobile
• Profiling, optimizing and refactoring of existing code
• Researching new software development concepts
• Working with the community of Qt users and contributors
• Collaborating with other R&D teams within Qt

Skills required:

• Excellent programming skills in C++ or a comparable object oriented language
• Good understanding of OpenGL, DirectX or similar
• Strong command of software development tools, preferably on multiple platforms
• High personal standards and a passion for quality-driven development
• Good English skills, both spoken and written
• Able to explain and present technical concepts
• A quick learner and willingness to share your knowledge with others
• Able to build consensus and agreement in a team
• Self-driven and able to work on your own

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• Participation in Open Source projects is a plus
• It is an advantage if you already enjoy Qt or KDE programming
• Experience with resource constrained devices or mobile is a plus
• Experience with agile project management practices is a plus

We are specifically looking for a software engineer to join our Graphics team. You have a passion for graphics programming such as OpenGL and GLSL, 3D modeling, or software rasterization, and aspire to create high-performance code with visually stunning output.
