Formal qualifications and experience
Certified Chief Engineer or 1st Engineer and/or relevant engineering degree.
Relevant experience from the navy, shipping or offshore industry.

Job description
The superintendent has the overall responsibility for management of 3-4 vessels and will:

• Participate in the implementation of onboard training and leadership development programs 
• Ensure the vessels' compliance with Flag state, Port State and Class requirements
• Prepare yearly action plans and corresponding budgets in cooperation with the Shipboard Management Teams
• Monitor the implementation and follow up of the Safety, Security & Quality Management System onboard 
• Support the Master and Shipboard Management Team in maritime and technical matters as required
• Carry out and follow up regular vessel inspections
• Monitor and report the vessels' performance and initiate corrective actions and improvement projects

Travelling must be expected as all our vessels trade world-wide.
