BEACON is Baker Hughes 24/7 Integrated Operation Centre for remote operations and is a vital part of Baker Hughes Integrated Operations strategy.

BEACON Reservoir Navigation Personnel works 24 hours, 7 days a week from our remote operations centre. - Baker Hughes BEACON personnel works online with our offshore operations. Work is split in real time operating that is done offshore, while support and analysis is done from our BEACON centre onshore.

In this position you will have direct impact on the success of the well because you give input on how to navigate within the reservoir in order for best possible oil/gas recovery.

As operations are continuously followed online this is a position that have to work shifts.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

• Be a part of the Baker Hughes Onshore/Offshore team – collaborating with onshore and offshore resources to safely and effectively meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Follow up online formation evaluation parameters in order to give input to operations as to where to navigate drilling BHA for optimal wellbore placement in the reservoir.
• Provide expert advice to the customer within real time Geo-steering operations.
• QC real time and memory formation evaluation data and measurement validation.
• Support Baker Hughes offshore team on formation evaluation measurements.
• Responsible for producing real time/memory and final logs and reports to customers.
• Enforce good communication between all the customer field representatives and the BEACON centre engineers.
• Prepare reports and data as per customer and company requirements.

Essential qualifications/requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology and/or Petroleum related studies.
• Relevant offshore experience within MWD is beneficial, but not a requirement.
• Excellent communication skills.
• You need to flexible, have integrity, a willingness to learn and develop your skillset, performance driven and have the ability to work with other people to enhance teamwork.

Preferred qualifications/requirements

• Excellent Computer skills
• In addition to being a team player, you have to be able to work with little or no supervision at times
• Professional presence and attitude

Other details

• The position is based in Stavanger and requires that the candidate lives in the region.
• The position follows a 5 week working schedule, involving evening and night shift work.
• The position is compensated with fixed shift allowances in addition to a yearly base salary.
