Support & installation engineer - Online & Mobile Video

The Vizrt office in Bergen, Norway, is looking for a customer support and installation engineer for our product line "Online & Mobile Video". This is our product line for video transcoding and streaming solutions for Mobile- and Web TV.

SUPPORT & INSTALLATION ENGINEER

As Vizrt are expanding the global operation and professional services team to support our growing customer base we now need to expand our support and installation team with a new position in Bergen. Work content and responsibilities

• You will work with an advanced and end to end live and VOD streaming platform based on high performance compression using the latest codecs, protocols and architectures
• Perform on site and remote installations of Viz Media Engine system for online video distribution and contribution
• Plan system architecture and new usages of the Viz Media Engine solution with our clients
• Handle 1st and 2nd line support of Viz Media Engine installations
• Manage and deliver professional services for customers in your region
• Monitor and administer Vizrt's own installations
• Identify and enhance existing monitoring systems
• The position will be based in Bergen and include on-call shifts to maximize the support availability for our customers

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master Degree in Computer Science or Networks & Telecommunications
• Proven skills on Linux administration,  preferably RedHat, server and client content delivery architectures
• Familiar with network protocols and libraries on Linux, network troubleshooting, switch and router configuration
• Enthusiasm about video, streaming and mobile applications
• Experience with customer service
• Fluency in English is required as this is our working language

We are a young workforce with an international background. The company holds a strong competence in the technologies used in the Viz Media Engine platform. E.g. Linux Administration, Video compression technologies, streaming and delivery protocols, Java and C/C++ programming languages, hardware configuration are subjects where the company has a strong competence.
