Senior Finance Manager

The position will be part of the Microsoft Norway Finance team which supports both Microsoft Sales & Marketing entity and Microsoft Development Center (formerly FAST) in Norway. This team is composed of dedicated professionals with diverse background and experiences providing finance leadership and business insight to a broad and diverse stakeholder base across all Microsoft entities in Norway.

Role summary/ Key areas of responsibility
Reporting to Microsoft Norway finance controller, the senior finance manager ensures the financial integrity of Microsoft operations across all Microsoft entities in Norway. He/she drives the monthly close process and own statutory, legal, tax (VAT and other local related tax), SOX and MAP compliance. The senior finance manager also has a key focus on driving continuous improvements in the close and other core finance processes to enhance quality of the statutory and management financial reporting.

This position is an excellent opportunity to understand the end to end financial and accounting process for all Microsoft Norway entities and to partner with a broad and diverse group of people across Finance and Operations including outsourced services providers (Accenture, ADP), external auditors (Deloitte), tax and payroll adviser (KPMG) and local banks.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with minimum bachelor, or equivalent, in finance and accounting. Minimum five years working experience, preferably working in a multi-national environment. Preferably experienced with outsourced functions.

Skills, knowledge and abilities
We are looking for a colleague who is proactive, structured, analytical and result oriented. You need to have strong communications skills. You have to be confident with handling working in a busy environment, dealing with deadlines, and periods of high workload. You must be eager to learn and develop. We prefer that you have good knowledge about IT applications. Fluency in Norwegian is necessary, and you need good English skills.
