Junior controller

We are now seeking a junior cost controller for our costumer in Bergen. As a junior cost controller you will participate in all aspects of cost control, this also involves liaison with equipment suppliers and other internal disciplines.

Required experience 1-2 years, and newly educated may also apply.

Job descripton:

• Execute work in line with the project contracts, e.g. conditions of contracts and appendixes for commercial and administrative requirements
• Coordinate cost infomation for all phases and levels in the project
• Establish and maintain the project budget, including the estimated cost work
• Cost & revenue monitoring including:
• Provide project management with continuous updated cost and revenue status
• Provide project management and company management with continuos updated contribution margin
• Early detection of deviations to budgets and trends
• Identify and track performance indicators
• Control of cost expenditure and revenues and appropriate recognitions of the same
• Ensure appropriate cost allocation
• Provision of forecasts and reports
• Provision of reports- both internal and external (client payable)
• Reconciliation of booked vs. project recognised costs
• Appropriate handling of contingency
• Collect expended manhours
• Monthly reporting to project and client
• Preparations of monthly invoice to client

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in economics, finance or other commercial degrees.
• 1-2 years of experience, preferably from maintenance and modification project in oil and gas industry.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, be proactive and safety-focused.
• Clever problem-solver
• Contributer to a good team spirit in the project
• Good communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken both in English and Norwegian
