MKonline is part of Markedskraft and is one of the leading analysis services for the European energy market. We fuel power market professionals with our web-based forecasts on fundamentals and prices as well as data and market insights. MKonline collects data from 100s of sources and process significant amounts of data every day. Our data and insights are presented in a web portal and APIs that clients can access by subscription. Within MKonline we are 35 people and our offices are in Arendal, Oslo and Berlin. More information at www.mkonline.no.

To strengthen MKonlines development team in Oslo/Arendal we are searching for a developer to help us expand our cloud footprint, automate workflows, build APIs and near-realtime data feeds.

Arbeidsoppgaver

Be part of our development team and do what matters the most to our business. We will ensure you get the necessary domain insight in energy market dynamics.
Develop systems in the Cloud (currently we use Google Cloud)
Close interaction with our data science team that build models on the platform you will be contributing to.
Build tools to help our analysts with data collection and feeding data to analytical- and machine learning models.
Build APIs to expose our data to clients, and build tooling to manage our systems and data.

Ønskede kvalifikasjoner

At least 3 years of professional development experience with Java/Python (we use Java 8 and Python 3).
Experience with at least one of the larger cloud vendors.
Experience with micro service architectures.
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (we use Postgres and Cassandra and are looking at certain cloud services that may help us further)
Knowledge of web development is an advantage (we use Django extensively, and React)
BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
Fluency in English is a requirement, proficiency in Norwegian is a plus.
We are looking for a structured developer with a passion for details. The right candidate enjoys working alone as well as in teams and has excellent communication skills.
